Well we took one on the chin last night. To be completely honest it wasn’t a big surprise to me. We lacked focus and intensity all week in practice and the old cliché proved true here. We played like we practiced.  

            Lots of credit has to go to the Marshall’s and their coaching staff. They were ready to play ball and it showed from the tip. They did a great job of finding the open spots in our tandem two three zone. Plus they made shot after shot after shot and pulled out to a fourteen point lead in the second quarter. You can’t expect to win many games getting down that much. They also had something that our team has had all year long until tonight. A hunger and desire to WIN! They wanted it more than we did tonight.  PREIOD!  Hopefully we can get things together this week because it doesn’t get any easier. 

            We have a big match up with Calloway on Thursday night that, if it’s anything like the first match up, promises to be an awesome game! It is crucial that we get back on the right page in practice. We have to play with a sense of urgency and get back to doing the things that got us to 22-3. 

I would also like to say that we are all praying and thinking about Brandy Allen. I hope that she is able to make a speedy recovery and those that attacked her come to justice.
