Former Calloway County softball great Kalyn Fox to be inducted into KY Fast-Pitch Softball Hall of Fame

Kalyn Fox has been selected as a 2010 inductee into the Kentucky Fast Pitch Softball Hall of Fame.    Ms. Fox is a 2005 graduate of Calloway County and was a member of the Calloway County Softball team for 8 years. She was a member of the 2004 State Championship team and was named the MVP of the 2004 state tournament as well as winning the United States Marine Corp Sportsmanship award.  She earned First Team Region 1 honors for three years, was selected 1st team 3A All State in both 2004 and 2005 and was selected to the West All-Star team her senior season.  She was also 1st Team Academic All State in both 2004 and 2005.

After graduating from Calloway County High School Kalyn had an outstanding college career playing for Eastern Kentucky University. She was on the 2006 OVC All-Newcomers team and received the OVC Medal of Honor for the 2005-06 school year. In 2008 she was named 2nd team ESPN the magazine Academic All-District 2nd team.  Kalyn was named 2nd team All OVC in 2009 and was among 30 finalist for the National Lowes Senior CLASS award.  Ms. Fox graduated from EKU in 2009 with a degree in Business Management with a cumulative 3.98 GPA.
