Hickman County's Paige Barclay scored 28 points to help Hickman County to the First District tournament championship, and in the process the 5-9 senior became the all-time leading scorer in school history. Barclay broke the record of former Falcons star Ben Rushing, (1800 points) and she now has a total of 1820 points in her career. Froggyland Sports had the opportunity to speak with Paige on Friday, and we'll have our interview with the brand-new record-holder posted on site over the weekend. We also offer congratulations to Kevin Estes and the Ballard Memorial Lady Bombers, who set a new single-season record for victories with win #23 against St. Mary in the first round of the Third District tournament. The Lady Bombers added #24 to their ledger on Thursday, claiming the tournament championship over Graves County. Ballard Memorial has risen to the elite ranks in the First Region over the last few years, and we salute the achievement of this impressive milestone. And last on our milestone list, but certainly not least, is the Murray High Lady Tigers who have shattered their program's single-season win mark of 24. Murray high set the new mark of 25 last Friday at Carlisle County, and after winning the Fourth District tournament championship on Thursday night, the Lady Tigers have a sparkling 27-4 mark. Congratulations to Rechelle Turner and her outstanding team. Leave a Comment |
